A subscription gives you a monthly Vena Token budget. The same message does not cost the same on every model: that is the multiplier, and it is the one thing to understand before buying.
Put plainly: a message sent on the Frontier class consumes eighty times what the same message consumes on Eco. You pick the class for every message, and you see the cost before you send.

Subscription tokens expire at the end of the period and do not roll over — on all three plans, with no exception. Tokens bought as a top-up stay valid for twelve months, and tokens earned by completing courses for 90 days, regardless of your subscription.
Because models do not cost the same to run. Each class carries a multiplier: Eco × 1, Standard × 5, Advanced × 25, Frontier × 80. An identical message therefore consumes eighty times more on Frontier than on Eco. Length matters too: what you write weighs a quarter of what the model answers. The cost is shown before every send.
Yes, at any point, without losing the thread. The cost adjusts to the class chosen for each message: nothing stops you drafting on Eco and having the result reviewed on Advanced.
Always by soonest expiry first: whatever expires earliest is spent first. You therefore never lose tokens you could have used. The pocket-by-pocket detail, with dates, is shown in “My tokens”.
